Facebook

I have a confession to make. I've been unfaithful. Blogger's gonna be so mad. I have been secretly involved with Facebook. He's a lot more exciting than Blogger. Blogger's just so...so...quiet. He doesn't say much. I give and give and give, and he really just doesn't give a whole lot back. Our relationship is just so one-sided. Every time I go out with Facebook, however, there's a note waiting for me, here and there. An invitation to join his Pirate Army. A song dedication. Like little gifts. He's much more responsive to my needs.

I'm not totally giving up on Blogger, though. I don't know where this relationship with Facebook is going. I'm just having a lot of fun right now. And I want to invite each and every one of you to come and meet my new friend, Facebook. You'll love him, too. I just know it.

(Oh, and don't forget to request me as a friend! Anyone can join!)

Ange,
I thought you had been MIA lately! I'll have to give you more love here, so you keep blogging!

Hey E.
You're actually one of my faithful contributers! Seriously though, I am quickly realizing that while Facebook is fun and all it's no substitute for blogging. It's kind of like eating a steady diet of junk food! I have definitely been feeling the need to blog more. More will come. Don't give up on me just yet!

Oh, that's good. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get involved with Facebook. It has taken effort to become a faithful blog reader so I was uncertain that I wanted a change. I will continue to check your blog in hopes that I will get to read another one of your well written and often entertaining posts.

I see them as totally different things. Blogging is like writing an article; Facebook is a great substitute for calling someone on the phone and saying, "How are you?" I like to do both. And I don't have time to call anyone--I just steal bits of time at the computer!

I agree, Kristen. Also, it's hard to talk on the phone with friends with three squawking baby birds in the background!!!! Facebook makes connecting with friends so much more enjoyable!!

Not that it's a substitute for the real deal. But you know what I mean.
